Five new preschools in Gegharkunik Marz, RA

On 1st of Sptember Arayik Harutyunyan, minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of RA, on the occasion of Knowledge Day visited a number of schools in Gegharkunik Marz, where new preschools opened this year. The first stop of the minister was Norashen community. This 1st of September was a double holiday for the residents of Norashen.The preschool of Norashen secondary school has opened its doors to the dearest pupils for the first time. The preschool was set up under the auspices of the World Bank within the framework of the “Education Improvement” loan program of the “ Center for Education Projects ” PIU. The above mentioned school is one of the 18 schools where pre-school micro-programs are implemented this year. The Minister of ESCS, RA and the participants of the event were greeted with high festive mood, song and dance in this school of Gegharkunik Marz, RA. The Minister of ESCS RA, accompanied by the representatives of Center for Education Projects and community leaders, turned around the preshool, got acquainted with the works done, talked to teachers and parents. The Minister congratulated the residents of Norashen community on the opening of the preschool and promised to resolve the issues concerning pupils, parents and school staff in the nearest future. It should be added that the preschool has 16 pupils. The next stop of the Minister of ESCS, RAwas Zolaqar community, where 2 preschools were set up within the framework of “Education Improvement” program.The participants of the event were also greeted with high festive mood at both of the preschools. At school N 2 little Anna enthusiastically showed Minister of ESCS the toys and colorful corners for her and her friends. Minister noted that preschool education is the pillar of the successful educational process and establishment of schools, as a result of such programs, is an important precondition for having a literate and educated citizen tomorrow. The next stop of the Minister of ESCS, RA was N 2 primary school of Martuni, where the preschool set up within the framework of “Education Improvement” program opened its doors to 25 pupils. Beautiful and colorful rooms, toy-filled corners – under these conditions the students of the newly established preschool will spend their everyday life. Educators and community residents highlight the importance of preschool establishment, emphasize the great joy that their children here in after will have the opportunity to receive education in comfortable and beautiful conditions. It should be reminded that renovation works have been carried out for the purpose of preschool establishment; installation of electrical and sanitary pipes, doors and windows, tiling, wall decoration and improvement of adjacent areas were carried out. Then, as a result of the program, the preschools were furnished with the necessary property, provided with all the necessary equipment for the organization of pre-school education. Training of the educators was also organized. It should be added that all the requirements for the organization of inclusive education have been kept by the “Center for Education Projects” PIU when developing the projects for the preschool establishment, that is to say that the newly established preschools have customized environment. The Minister of ESCS, RA summarized his tour to preschools in Gavar N 8 secondary school after M. Buniatyan where the new school year also begins with a newly established preschool. It should be mentioned that the newly opened preschool in Gavar today has accepted 29 pupils. The Minister of ESCS, RAsummarized his September tour to Gegharkunik Marz at Sevan high school,which has been fundamentally reconstructed under the auspices of the World Bank within the framework of the “Education Improvement” loan program. It should be added that the above mentioned high school is one of the 7 high schools currentlyincluded in the reconstruction program within the frameworks of the “Support to Third Level Development of Secondary School” subcomponent. It should be noted that reconstructions have already started in 7 high schools in the capital and marzes of RA.
