YEREVAN STATE CONSERVATORY NAMED AFTER KOMITAS
Introduction of innovation technologies aimed to improve the process of musical education in the Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas
Abbreviated name of the programme is “Innovation acoustic laboratory”
The Republic of Armenia in cooperation with World Bank’s International Development Association carries out the credit programme “Education improvement”, within the framework of which the works of the “Competitive Innovation Fund” are implemented. “Competitive Innovation Fund” has provided grant to the Conservatory to modernize the development process of the learners’ skills and capacities. For efficient launch of the “Innovation acoustic laboratory” it is necessary to have prepared professionals and trained teaching staff. For this purpose it is planned to provide consulting service with the involvement of an expert.
Main responsibilities of an expert are as follows:
• To study the Grant Programme “Innovation acoustic laboratory” and proceeding
from the aims and priorities of the programme to clarify the training topics and agenda
• To present the training topics and make the agenda stressing the advantages of the
availability of such a laboratory in the educational process.
• To present the professional experience in the given field
• To hold seminars to train YSC teaching staff according to the elaborated training
topics and agenda
• After the carried out trainings to make and present a report on the work done
including the elaborated materials for training.
Minimal quality requirements for the individual consultant to provide professional support on sound, vibration and acoustics during implementation of the “Competitive Innovation Fund” grant programme in the Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas are as follows:
Consultant’s Qualifications (maximum 30 points):
• Appropriate education – engineer and musical
• Knowledge of English is compulsory
• Knowledge of the regional language is preferable
General experience and skills (maximum 30 points):
• Work experience of at least three years in the spheres of teaching, designing concert
sound, projecting and launching acoustic studios.
Special experience (maximum 40 points):
• Availability of the international professional experience
• Knowledge of sound, vibration, acoustics and voice measurements (certified with
professional diplomas and/or certificates).
The consulting service of an individual consultant is planned to be carried out during
a three-day period in November-December, 2017. Selection of the consultant will be carried out according to the provisions of the “GUIDELINES FOR SELECTION AND EMPLOYMENT OF CONSULTANTS BY WORLD BANK BORROWERS” (January, 2011)
