SSU project manager Hovik Melqonyan welcomed the CFEP PIU representatives. He noted that the implementation of such kind of projects moves the university's activity and its rating to a new qualitative platform. SSU project manager introduced to the CFEP PIU representatives the situation of the “Ensuring Balanced Regional Development through Shirak State University Strengthening and Diversification of Educational Services” grant project, which has been implemented within the CIF framework. Within the framework of the project an educational center of additional and continuous /lifelong/ learning, equipped by necessary software and hardware, including 2 resource centers had been established at SSU. The whole teaching and learning process through the development and integration of “Distance Learning”, “Organization of Inclusive Education” and “Development of Sustainable Tourism'' compulsory courses had also been modernized. Accompanied by a SSU grant project manager, the attendees walked around the university, visited the resource centers and the hall of ceremonies, got acquainted with the project implementation process. The CFEP PIU representatives confirmed that the obtained equipments were situated in the intended places. During the visit Arshak Ghazaryan, a professional assistant consultant for the CFEP PIU, tested the possibilities of the e-learning system by getting acquainted with the created content and technical procedures. The participants continued the meeting in the resource center. The meeting was focused on the issues related to the modernization of educational content. It should be noted that within the framework of the project, as a teaching method, the introduction of a distance learning system is promoted, within the framework of which the process of developing the training material for the " Development of Sustainable Tourism" course had been realized, as well as, due to the project manager, a seminar for the above mentioned course was also held. The higher educational institution has also published the "Distance Learning" guidance, "Inclusive Education Organization" and "Sustainable Tourism Development" manuals. SSU grant project manager pointed out, that two resource centers and halls serve for the preparation of team projects, meetings, electronic training and support materials, and are being used in daily frequency. This is evidenced by the final workshop held on May 30 at the concert hall, during which the results of the grant project were introduced and summed up. The participants confirmed that the enrichment of the material and technical base, the creation of new educational content and the introduction of the distance learning method will contribute to the strengthening of the university and will raise its rating.
